About Park Geun-hye

Park Geun-hye (b. 1952) was President of South Korea from 2013 until her impeachment in 2017. She is the daughter of former authoritarian leader Park Chung-hee. Her presidency ended amid a massive scandal involving abuse of power and corruption, for which she was later convicted and imprisoned, before her health-based pardon.
