Hassan al-Turabi

Hassan al-Turabi (1932–2016) was a religious scholar, ideological leader, and key political figure in Sudan. He was deeply influential in shaping Islamist politics, legal reform, and governance in Bashir’s early years, though his relationship with the regime later soured.
