Félix Tshisekedi

Félix Tshisekedi is the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (since 2019). He emerged from opposition politics as the son of veteran politician Étienne Tshisekedi and has sought to balance national reconciliation, anti-corruption rhetoric, and economic opening with complex security and governance challenges across a large, resource-rich country. His presidency faces persistent issues of territorial insecurity, humanitarian needs, and institutional reform.
