Fernando Henrique Cardoso

Fernando Henrique Cardoso (FHC) is a sociologist, academic, and former President of Brazil (1995–2002). Known for stabilizing Brazil’s economy through the Real Plan, FHC emphasized modernization, privatization, and international engagement. His academic career before politics made him one of Latin America’s most respected intellectuals. His presidency laid the institutional groundwork that influenced Brazil’s economic direction for decades.
